Every capstone team starts with a question. For the Biomedical Engineering (BME) team ‘A New Don’, it was simple: Does sterile wear have to come at the expense of comfort?

This BME capstone team is tackling this very problem in their design that reimagines cleanroom coveralls without compromising on either front. Their journey started with real user concerns, like frustrations about sweating through uncomfortable coveralls in cleanroom environments. With a focus on breathability, moisture-wicking, and inclusive sizing, "A New Don" isn't just about functionality. And it doesn't stop there—their hijab-inspired head cover addresses a common pain point, making sure everyone feels included and comfortable.
